Each of our individual stories began whenever everything else did. Clumps of energetic particles evolved for billions of years, until some such clumps coalesced into readily identifiable sentient creatures. For example, some clumps eventually coalesced near Daytona, Florida in 1983, forming a sentient creature called James, whose ancestors baked things. After four decades of beautiful dreams and horrible nightmares ("Contact"), Mr. James discovered he was and had always been autistic. Ponder Plots seeks to amplify the real-life experiences of autists and others who have suffered the consequences of being born with neurotypes neglected by society. Because those consequences are increasingly existential, they must be addressed. If the rest of modern society should choose to continue ignoring us, then at the very least, building our own social networks and collaborative communities will allow us to look out for one another.
